10 years ago, today, something special took place. The PDGA approved the first Kastaplast disc, and it marked the beginning of a journey for a new design company dedicated to disc sport. The name of the disc – RASK, is the Swedish word for brisk or fast, but it is also a historic surname for Swedish soldiers. A new name was given to recruits, it was usually a positive adjective or something related to the military. A four letter word has then followed on all released discs.
Kastaplast’s vision has always been to create an own path, to blur the lines between competitive sport and casual fun and to bring a confident minimalism to a canvas that can be filled with whatever the imagination allows. Ten years later this vision still holds even though a lot has changed. Not only for our company but also for disc golf. Thank you for joining us in this exciting endeavour, we hope you will follow us for another ten years and more.
To celebrate the two digit anniversary, a special edition Rask in a festive sparkle pink plastic, will be released this coming autumn.
Produsenten sin beskrivelse
A concept disc based on Kastaplast's invention for drag reduction. Being super fast and very overstable, the Rask should probably have a warning sticker on it.
Being less than 22 mm wide at the rim, Rask proves that a disc’s speed cannot be determined by looking at the width of the rim. Those who want the fastest disc available, without the widest rim, reach for Rask! Some players swear by it, but it sure isn’t for everyone. Rask is Swedish for fast.
